Studio Images

A big thanks to Art Star Gallery and Boutique for posting a super sweet interview about my Horrible Adorables!  I re-posted a few of the images, but you can visit the Art Star blog to read the full article here.

Each colored scale is hand cut and arranged as a colorful pattern.

This is my favorite part in making each creature!  The finishing touches really bring each animal to life.

Ta-da!  I'm finished with this one... but you can be sure that a bunch more are on their way!

New Item - Mini Trophies

These miniature trophy plaques make a great addition to any existing collection of Horrible Adorables or as a starter piece for beginning one!  Heck, for only $45.00 a piece, you may want to snatch them all up!  They will be making their debut at "Art Star Craft Bazaar."  (I especially loved making the giant pom-poms to top some of their heads... doesn't the teeny creature look so disgruntled by his fuzzy do?)

Art Star Craft Bazaar

Hooray!  Philadelphia's "Art Star Craft Bazaar" is almost here.. well, sort of.  It's still over a month away, but I've been working up a storm creating new creatures to bring to the event.  Between my freelance work and travel plans, a month really doesn't seem that long!!

Art Star Craft Bazaar is one of my most favorite shows to participate in and I absolutely love the city.  If you live near or are planning on traveling to it (it's worth it!) make sure to stop by booth 95.  That's where I will be May 14th and 15th from 11am-6pm, both days.  I would love it if you dropped by to say hello!  Check out the site here for more information.  I will also be a featured artist at Art Star Gallery and Boutique during the month of May.  Check out the lovely shop while you are there and see some fantastical creatures scattered throughout!

Sock It to Me

I submitted a few designs recently to funky legwear company, "Sock It to Me," for their annual 'Design-A-Sock' competition.  It was a ton of fun to figure out what imagery would look cute on a knee sock.  Though I did not win, or even place in the competition, I was completely surprised and excited to hear that they still wanted to produce my design!
I named it "Paper Chain Gang" and it features sweet boy and girl chain dolls that will stripe around the sock.  I can't wait to see these when they come out!
